The Great Library designed by Mihály Pollack, the museum and the archives provide a home for several scientific collections, from the American-Hungarian collection to village seminar notes.
Throughout history, the collections were strongly connected to the Reformed church and to religious education. The Reformed high school and the theological academy were both reopened between 1990 and 1991 to continue these traditions.
In the 17th century, György Rákóczi and Zsuzsanna Lorántffy invited the famous Moravian educator and philosopher, John Amos Comenius to teach in the institution.
