The Museum Exhibition Space of Hungarian Penalty-Execution is located next to the Sátoraljaújhely Penitentiary and Prison. The exhibition presents the historical and professional evolution of penalty-execution, the Hungarian penalty system and the life of the convicts.

Visitors can learn about terrifying issues like retaliatory, mutilation and death penalties, and also about  the history of imprisonment as a penalty. 

The current system and everyday life of inmates are also presented in the exhibition. Moreover, visitors can even buy ceramics and pictures created by prisoners.
